Guys please enroll for recurring contributions. Its for our own good. Please dont sit under the misconception that since we applied for 485 and we get EAD we might be ok. you are not safe until you have the green card in your hand. durbin, grasley, ron hira are out there to get you, I wont be surprised if they come after EAD once they are done with H1. Please contribute to IV so that we can work on the next leg on the process, be it SKIL or visa number recapture or whatever comes but to do that IV needs money, please contribute so that we can build on the momentum. Junior members, news members you are the new blood please come forward and contribute. To existing members please think about increasing the recurring contribution amount.

It bacame hard to find job with H1B. Most of the companies asking to work on 1099/w2 with EAD or Self Incorporated company LLC Certificate. In this case:
I have following questions on starting LLC on wife's EAD :
My 1-140 is approved and I-485 is pending (i140 and 485 both completed 180 days) and me and my wife both have EAD and AP. My current status is H1B with the current employer who filed for GC.
Q1: As current market crisis, lot of companies asking to work on 1099 or on their W2 basis (lot of IT jobs listed for only EAD/GC ....NO H1Bs like that...became hard to find IT job with H1B ).
For getting job purpose only, can I open LLC (100% owned by wife's name) on wife's name only and can I work for my wife's company through AC21 with my EAD (I'll ask my lawer to do all necessary paper works to meet my job role and job description are same kind and meets AC21 portability) .
Q2: Lot of new companies asking to show my self incorporated LLC certificate in which my name should be displayed (In this case, only my wife name will be displayed in LLC Certificate as 100% owner and my name is not in LLC Certificate) in order to work for them via 1099/w2 basis.
In this case, what exactly I should do to work any company in US on 1099/w2 basis?(Assume that I already opened LLC on my wife's EAD and 100% owned, and my nameis not listed in the company llc certificate).
Q3: In case if I joined my wife's company through AC21 under same job role/name that I'm doing ,

I reviewed my comment and I haven't wrote anything trashing another country and I didn't say that USCIS is bad. In fact, if you read carefully I am trying to defend USCIS from "Mirage's comments".
I don't know what nationality you are, but, I am an Australian and I don't need to suck up to get my green card. I will get my greencard soon, probably sooner than you.
In fact, there is a special immigration program "only for Australians" that allow me and my dependents to work and live in Australia indefinitely. That was signed in to law by the President last year, if you didn't know about that. I guess you got me wrong. Australia and America have good relationships as you know.
I still would stress to thank America for giving me the opportunity to work and live and experience America.

Let is choose one, otherwise we run the risk of diluting the whole idea, I have put up a poll.

My point - I am going to take things in a stride, basically wait till I can - doesn't hurt me as long as I go about my daily routine.
All who are thinking of jumping the fence and giving up, one piece of advice - if you do not have kids and plan to have any in this life, please do it NOW - have them be born here (all of them) and then move on with whatever / wherever you want to go.
At least this is a gift you will be giving your kids for their lifetime and all the generations following them (remember - a US citizen's kid can be a US citizen no matter where he/she is born) - so you will be arranging US citizenship for all your great^n * grand * kids (0 <= n <= infinity) !
This is how I think about it when I do not think about MYSELF. Once the kids are born, you can flaunt their American Passports and feel happy in their well-being and security (for whatever it is worth) and move on to Canada / India / Singapore / wherever! Live happily.
And do not forget your kids can sponsor you when they are 21.

Thanks for the idea. May I request you to please inform every one here, number of hours that you can spend volunteering for IV? I ONLY contributed DOLLARS, but never contributed TIME and I feel ashamed of that. There are many people who have contributed both dollars and time.
If you promise some time volunteering to IV for all the ideas that you listed, I am PROMISING to contribute DOLLARS for you. Are you ready? If so, please send email to IV core.

July bulletin is OUT and NO more significant movement. Please call Lawmakers ASAP. Unless we take action USCIS is not going to do anything. Situation can be worse once we head towards election season. Still we have 1-2 months to get things done or we will be waiting for years to get green card OR EAD ( For some folks ).
It is just 10-15 minutes need to spend to call. Let them know WHO WE ARE AND WHAT ARE OUR ISSUES .

Now its time to act. If we dont take action CHC will not allow to move ahead our 3 bills.

btw, I found the law:
(a) An applicant who is not a citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States must present valid documentation issued by the United States Department of Justice, United States Department of State, United States Department of Homeland Security, United States Immigration and Naturalization Service, United States Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services, or any successor agency of the aforementioned that shows lawful temporary admission to the United States.
(1) An applicant whose lawful admission period is more than six months but less than the full term of a driver license or identification certificate will be issued a driver license or identification certificate with a status date displayed that coincides with the expiration of the applicant's lawful admission period in the United States.
(2) If the lawful admission period in the United States indicated on the document presented by the applicant expires in less than six months from the date of application, no driver license or identification certificate may be issued.
(3) If the document presented by the applicant to demonstrate lawful temporary admission indicates an indefinite expiration date, the driver license or identification certificate will be issued with a status date displayed of one year from the date of application.
(b) In the event the applicant's status is updated or extended, the applicant must present valid documentation of such status change or extension to obtain a duplicate driver license or identification certificate with an updated status date.
(c) The driver license or identification certificate will be cancelled if within 45 days from the status date the applicant is unable to present valid documentation showing a status change or extension of admission period.
