Doesn't matter if you only live in AZ or not! If you live in the Border Areas (North and South), or are traveling in those areas, it is better you carry it.
I never carry mine and do not intend to unless fit I the above case. I have memorized my A# and that of my spouse and am willing to go thro' to whatever rare hassle that I may face than losing my wallet and having to replace my GC for $370! Futher I do not want identity thieves getting another piece of info about me.

I am a Indian citizen working in the technology sector on a H1B Visa. My 6 years on H1b in US are over. I have a approved I-140 and based on that I have a H1b extension for another ~2.5 years. My wife also works on a H1B Visa. I plan to go to school in the US for an MBA degree and will need to move to F1 Visa (student). Can I legally work in US after my education is complete in approximately 2 years time? Or do I need to move out of US before starting employment on either H1B or OPT (If these are allowed for MBA students)?

This is urgent please advise,
I was planning to join new empolyer with my EAD. I gave my Labor certificate to my manager, some how things are now going well with my new employer manager. Somehow I am in double mind whether to join or not join this new employer, I was just worrried since he has my labor certificate he can negatively affect me , if I do not join this new employer. Please advise if he can negatively affect me any way, or what precation I need to take in case I do not join him.

Friends,
I just received EAD card from employer office and noticed spelling mistake on my Firstname. It is USCIS mistake.
I could not find thread with answer.
Office paralegal called USCIS, look like asked us file again.
do we need to send back the original card recd from UCCIS ?.
Anybody has experience on this one?

If H1B extension gets denied and my employer will appeal it. My questions are
1. Can I allowed to work until I decision is made on appeal?
2. If appeal is denied, from when I will be consider as out of status? (from I-94 expiry date or appeal decision date)
3. After appeal denial what is the grace period to leave the US?
4. Can same employer is allow to file another H1 petition for me?

Hello Everyone,
If primary applicant of I-485 uses AC21 and Spouse of primary applicant not planning to work for at least 3 years because of infant kids. Could we please share what are advantages and disadvantages you can think of for not applying an EAD for secondary applicant until ready to find a job?
Following are list I can think of.
Disadvantages
- Secondary will not get SSN and tax rebate
- Would have to renew for 3 years even though not going to use
Advantages
-If get lucky get a Green card without using EAD ever

I have been working with a company ABC from April 2007 in India. In Oct 2007 I got my H1B visa stamped for a company XYZ of USA and is valid thru OCT 2010. I took a long vacation here in India and went to USA for the company XYZ and stayed there for 45 days. During the period of stay I got my SSN and also I got one payslip generated for two weeks. Becoz of the market slowdown I had to return back to India and joined the same company ABC in India. Now this company ABC wants to process B1 for me, So is there any problem if I have to apply for B1 and is there any problem in the Embassy about the 45 days I spent in US on H1B while I was employed in a company ABC from April 2007?
Please suggest me on this asap

Hi: Need some inputs from the excperts in this group on using the priority dates from a different I140 filing.
Have the following 2 cases filed for the same person.
PD - Nov 2004 - EB3 - Labor Approved - I140 Filed
PD - Oct/Nov 2005 - EB2 - Labor Approved - I140 Approved
If we file I485 based on the I140 approved for EB2 case [which has a later PD], can we still send an update to USCIS later regarding Nov 2005 PD and use that PD once the I140 from the EB3 filing is approved? What's the best way to use the highest EB category and oldest PD in this case?

I did send my wife's and my daughter's RFE in one package. But have separate cover lettter and folder. One packet is enough, clearly distiguish between two set of papers.
My wife and I got RFE on medical. Now I am sending response to RFE. Do I need to send the RFE response individually by FEDEX or Can I send both of us responses in one FEDEX package? Please advise. Thanks.

I filed my eEAD 45 days back, competed finger printing 15 days back, still I don't see LUD on my case; However, my spouse who filed 30 days back had 3 LUD, and a recent after finger print.
Can guys suggest, is this common. Usually after FP I should see a LUD, right? What are my options..:confused:
