Guys, please continue to leave voice messages, emailing & faxing those idiots at Atlanta PERM center who moved the staff to do other work like processing h2b cases. We need to be persistent if we need any positive outcome. Would those idiots who reassigned staff to do other work, now turn around and help us be reassigining more staff to clear the backlogs? We need to keep questioning them and bombard them with emails, fax and phone calls. It is very important that we act now, if not you all know how delicate of situation we are all finding ourselves in. I just Spoke to sentor Specter office: 202-224-4254. They were very supportive. I spoke about the revised Visa bulltien and the effect of losing nurses. They were very sympathatic . I added i know how the sentor support immigration.

I personally have nothing against anyone in core team and feel that these guys been doing their best effort to help the community. But their strategy is flawed. We are not aligned with right people and we don't speak up. We don't followup and hit hard on people who are working against our agenda. When illegal immigrant community can get media limelight , why we cannot ? We were all banking on democrats to help us and here is the result. We as IV ans need to wake up and start working closely with pro-business community. We need to approach media to bash anyone who uses race, national orign as a medium to undermine our long term agenda.
We all have the track record for IV till this date and we have not accomplished anything from July 07.We don't have media coverage and no one in political circle knows IV as a viable organization . If media coverage calls for doing something out of box to attract media attention , let's do it. We sent flowers, we attracted media attention. I have some agressive ideas and I can share in a private forum ( Just to keep numbersusa away :-))

Conference calls are full of people who have nothing but idealism. Other than one or two IV MA members , rest all of them is waste of time. So I find it useless to stick with status quo. A new core leadership team promising aggressive agenda will bring in life to IV.

I talked to my lawyer and she says I can travel without AP as long as H visa is stamped. I just found Press Release on same topic from USCIS. Here is the link

My wife is already in India; and I am going to follow her soon and we will be going to get our visa stamped.
I hope this reduces some frustration.
I don't think that was an issue ever. Also keep in mind the new PIM process which is now part of visa stamping might delay things if you go to get a visa stamped

i sent all documents to loan officer at wells fargo for refinance. I sent I-140, EAD copy for immigration documents. just got email from loan office that he received my file back from underwriter and ask for greencard copy front and back as underwriter said EAD is not acceptable (Employer can not sponsor borrower).

2. How people who have green cards are contributing to the country as a whole ?
3. What if the whole green card process takes less than 3 years ?
Few obvious things are we would have bought a house, gone up in our carrier ladder, spend more and contribute to the economy, our spouse could have started working etc....
I am looking for thoughts and experience other than the above things.

I have been wanting to post this for the last few days and was happy to read this thread.........can we do something like an Immigrant's Boycott Day or something where we should do a mass boycott all over the country.....we need to coordinate this across the entire country and do a gandhi style protest.....but we need atleast maybe 1000 people per city to do it.....I am not sure how difficult it is to get that many people.....but that seems to be the only way to create an Impact.......WE HAVE TO MAKE OUR EMPLOYERS FEEL THE IMPACT OF NOT HAVING US FOREIGN WORKERS.....THAT IS THE ONLY WAY TO STOP THIS EXPLOITATION........its like when all the mexican farmers stopped working on the strawberry farms.....there were no strawberries in the market....I am in the Detroit, MI area.... we need to come up with a list of big cities where we can get 1000 people per city.

My wife remains on her H1 for safe....until we get GC.

If they start processing/approve I-140, they will immi get bombarded with I485/EAD/AP applications. So they are trying to artifically stem down the workload they might get. Also this gives them a chance to clearup the 485 queue ... :-)
